Gary Magill spent 15 years as an ASE-certified diesel mechanic before he ever touched a website. Cummins, Powerstroke, Duramax. Fleet maintenance contracts. DOT inspections. The 2am emergency calls. The seasonal cash flow swings. He lived it.
When a back injury took him off the shop floor in 2022, he didn't step back — he stepped forward. He enrolled in software development and web programming, applying the same methodical diagnostic mindset from the shop to understanding how search engines work and how websites are built.
That path wasn't a detour. It was the foundation.
